Fate is a twisted, spiteful thing—and I’m starting to understand why.
I thought surviving a supernatural prison would be the hardest thing I’d have to face. Turns out being dragged into the realm of the Norns is worse. Way worse. Especially when the journey includes being stuck in a godforsaken land with Leah freaking MacKenzie—my best friend’s sister and the childhood crush who went out of her way to humiliate me. An embarrassment I’ve never let go of. But Leah isn’t who I thought she was, and as fate would have it, neither am I.
The elves and the witches say I’m Fae. The dragon says I stink. And the vampire king stole the woman of my dreams right out from under my nose. So while I never asked for the strange mix of magic inside of me, and I’m convinced that all supernaturals are maniacal supervillains, it’s time to swallow my pride and accept Leah’s help. If she can teach me how to control the dragon fire a human isn’t supposed to have and explain the glowing magic that marks me as Fae, we might just have a shot at surviving this twisted realm.
Only, Odin is meddling in my life, and if the Norns don’t kill me, the supernaturals will.
