Meet Your Editors

All of Proof Positive’s editors are thoroughly tested and trained, and must meet high standards, including editing tests put together and analyzed by Proof Positive’s owner, Christie Stratos.

Each editor is thoroughly experienced in most genres. The only genres we do not accept are hard science fiction, fiction with violent kinks (all other sexual content is accepted), or animal violence/cruelty.

Christie Stratos

As the owner of Proof Positive, Christie is constantly keeping up with and analyzing publishing industry trends and bestselling books. She has a tenacious appetite for reading all genres from all time periods—in her opinion, you can never read too much. Her love of editing started in college, where she was a writing tutor as well as proofreader for the school’s magazine. Through those jobs, she realized that her passion is editing others’ work to help make it the best it can be.

Writing is also a top love of Christie’s. While she’s a mutigenre author published in magazines and literary journals, her main genres are historical fantasy and suspense taking place in the Victorian era. She’s been honored with several awards throughout her writing career.

Aside from editing and fiction writing, Christie has hosted multiple podcasts/videocasts and has interviewed hundreds of authors, including award-winning and bestselling authors like Karen Kingsbury, Peter Straub, Robert Sawyer, and Peter James. Her current podcast is called Fun Classic Reads, co-hosted with science fiction author David M. Kelly, which features live-streamed dramatic reads of classic literature with a good dose of fun.
